Why Now Is The Time To Buy A Gun

Scalia
Your days may be numbered when you can legally buy a gun. If you think a gun ban is an incredulous possibility, you should consider some recent developments in the political landscape.

Gun ownership in the Unites States is nearing threat of extinction. Hillary Clinton has made many statements against gun rights. She can claim she wants common sense reform, but those are lies for a gradual and complete eradication of the Second Amendment.

When her husband was president, the Clinton “Assault Weapons Ban” was imposed from 1994 to 2004. Senator Dianne Feinstein proposed the ban saying people, “can’t be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans.”

The court decision of District of Columbia vs. Heller was split 5-4. After the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, it is now split 4-4. That is 4 Justices in favor of the ruling and 4 dissenting opinions (not exactly dissenting anymore). Do you see how the balance of power will shift one way or the other with a new Justice?

The Heller decision holds that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual’s right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home.

If Clinton becomes president, she will appoint a new justice to the court. If that happens, the POTUS AND the Supreme Court of the United States will be against the Second Amendment. These are truly dangerous times not only for gun rights, but all the rights of the people.

If they can take down the Second Amendment, they will take away the first and all the rest.

Americans are uncertain of the future in terms of who will be president, what will happen with the Supreme Court, and what will happen with gun rights. The gun market will react to speculation, whether there may be a gun ban or not.

We have seen this before in previous elections when gun stores couldn’t keep certain firearms and ammo in stock. Store shelves were empty as they could not keep up with high demand. Prices were driven sharply up, people kept buying what little stock could be found because of the idea that these items would be unavailable for an unknown period of time or possibly forever. People were buying up the supply at high prices and hoarding.

Eventually the market went back to normal, but these items are still in demand. Businesses have responded by adding 24,763 gun industry jobs in 2015 according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Some stores have expanded their offerings and products, many new retail stores have opened and new suppliers have started businesses to meet the demands of consumers.

If you are a first time buyer, or looking to add another gun to your collection, now is the time to buy. Avoid the high prices and crowds at the gun stores later this election year and Christmas season.
